A T-rex in town. In 2016 the Naturalis Biodiversity Centre (Amsterdam) excavated a well preserved t-rex skeleton

I was lucky enough to be asked to paint this picture of a t-rex for The Naturalis Biodiversity Centre, located just outside Amsterdam.
In 2016 the Naturalis Biodiversity Centre excavated a well preserved t-rex skeleton in Montana.
The t-rex skeleton (300 bones) was then flown from the USA to the Netherlands.

Passengers on a KLM flight departing from Chicago heard a surprising announcement while they were waiting to board. They were told that they’d be flying to Amsterdam with the 66+ million year old Tyrannosaurus.

Escorted by police, the remains were driven to Leiden
